Comrade Couture

In our fashion obsessed world in which extravagances à la Lady Gaga are idolized, “Comrade Couture” brings us into the amazing parallel universe of East Berlin's alternative fashion scene where individualism was considered as something dangerously subversive.

Director Marco Wilms, once a fashion model in East Berlin, delivers a humorous film about creativity as a life force – and the enduring desire for individual freedom.
