More Additional Screenings at the 34th HKIFF Available Now
 

More additional screenings of sold-out films at the 34th Hong Kong International Film Festival are available now, including I Killed My Mother, which will be screened on March 26 at UA Langham Place.

Additional seats are now available for four previously sold-out screenings of
Wide Grass and Life During Wartime at the Grand Cinema on March 23 & 30 and March 27 & 31 respectively.

 

There are only limited tickets left for screenings by Master Directors, such as: Francis Ford Coppola, Jacques Rivette, Andrzej Wajda, Krzysztof Zanussi, Bruno Dumont, Elia Suleiman and Hong Sang-soo.  Buy your tickets now!

Quattro Hong Kong

The world premieres of four short films by four renowned Hong Kong directors under the title of Quattro Hong Kong will be shown together with the inaugural Short Film Competition screenings. Four endearing odes to Hong Kong, the programme presents: Clara Law’s Red Earth, Herman Yau‘s Fried Glutinous Rice, Heiward Mak Hei yan’s We Might as Well be Strangers and Fruit Chan’s The Yellow Slipper.   Quattro Hong Kong is presented by Brand Hong Kong and produced by HKIFF Society.

AFA: Living Legend, Amitabh Bachchan at the 4th Asian Film Awards
 

Dubbed “the undisputed Godfather of Bollywood” by TIME magazine, Amitabh Bachchan will accept the Lifetime Achievement Award in person at the 4th Asian Film Awards Ceremony at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong on 22nd March, 2010.  The Ceremony will be aired on ATV on 24th March.

Bachchan has entertained Asian and international audiences in an acting career that has spanned five decades. His roles in over 100 films have earned him numerous awards, including three National Awards and thirteen Filmfare Awards.
